King Congratulates West Lyon High School on Blue Ribbon School Award
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Steve King today made the following statement congratulating West Lyon High School of Inwood for receiving a 2009 Blue Ribbon School award.
“The Blue Ribbon School award is a significant recognition,” said King. “This award indicates that West Lyon High School students and staff are among America’s best and brightest. On behalf of western Iowa, I would like to congratulate West Lyon High School for receiving this distinguished honor and for being an example to schools across America.”
The Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors academically superior public and private schools, as well as schools that have shown dramatic improvement in student achievement.
