February 14, 1919~ February 14,2009...

This is what celebrating 90 years looks like! Happy 90th Birthday to our grandma and great grandma Gertie! Many family and friends gathered together to celebrate her special day!

So many memories and good lessons to learn from listening to Grandma Gertie. She tells of growing up in a large family while working on the farm as a young woman, losing her first husband in World War II leaving her to raise a two year old daughter alone, living through hard times and good times with two more daughters from her second marriage, grandchildren and great grandchildren would come along, losing her son in law and daughter, moving to California and back to Iowa as a young teen...and now in her twilight years she has so much to share and to be thankful for. Health has been a blessing to her. She has been a gift to us. Gertie Feller is 90 years young today! We wish you many more happy years to come! God bless you always!
